Where Does All That Dust Come From When Cleaning Your Bedroom?

When cleaning up your home, one of the rooms that always seem to be the dustiest is the bedroom. For many homeowners, that can seem highly confusing. Why is your bedroom so dusty? What is here could be the cause of all of that dust building up?

The main reason why your bedroom often becomes so dusty is because of the items we keep in the bedroom. Our pillows, duvets, blankets, and even stuffed toys are all dust catchers extraordinary. Fabrics and textiles are prominent for seeing dust fibers created which then land on every part of the room. It also comes from your skin, too; when sleeping our dead skin ends up in the air and builds up on all of these parts of our bedroom.

Reducing dust in the bedroom

If your bedroom has a ceiling fan or an AC unit, too, it can also be an ironic cause of dust build-up. It needs to be cleaned and cared for regularly, so you should always take the time to properly clean these air-moving accessories. When your ceiling fan does not get dusted, for example, it can cause a lot of dust to basically be released back into the room. Giving it a clean is a highly recommended decision if you want to avoid that. The same goes for AC units. If you change filters and you clean out the fan, you should reduce the amount of dust build-up.

You also need to get used to dusting down with efficiency. Using something like a microfiber cloth is much more useful for actually capturing the dust in the first place, making sure that it does not simply go from the duster back into the bedroom itself.

If you choose to vacuum your carpets, too, you can actually be sending more of these dust particles back into the air. Make sure your carpet has a clean filter on it so you can avoid that messy problem from becoming repetitive!
