Martha Stewart Launches Her Own Restaurant in Las Vegas

As one of the most recognizable celebrities of her era, Martha Stewart is someone who draws an audience of all ages. She has been everything from a business mogul to a TV star to a publisher and a writer. Stewart has been involved in many disciplines and has shown over her lifespan that she is someone with a very unique take on the world. Her cooking books rose to prominence and today she is regarded as an expert in the world of business and cooking alike. So, it should come as no surprise that her restaurant business is booming.

Her latest restaurant, The Bedford, has opened its doors in Las Vegas. The restaurant itself is based on her home in New York. For anyone else that would sound self-indulgent, but for Stewart, this makes a lot of sense. She has designed it to look like rooms from her own house, and even the menu she is serving is going to be akin to the kind of food made at home.

An opening party was held in the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. She thanked Kevin Sharkey, the design director, who helped to take her interior design idea and turn it into a reality. The result is a gorgeous, vintage-looking restaurant that definitely carries a sense of class and charm.

Everything within is a replica of her own home, and large parts of the building also seem to take a Colonial Era inspiration. Everything in the restaurant is inspired by her home, so it’s actually a bit like having Martha Stewart come and cook you dinner!

Inspired by her greatest hero – her mother

Stewart said the desire to have this restaurant managed was coming from her mother. An individual who managed to raise six children and never held any grudges or felt like life owed her anything. A perpetual hard worker who gave everything she could to the people that she loves and cares about.

Stewart believes her mother is an inspiring presence, someone who convinced her to never stop trying, growing, or trying new things. Given the success of the restaurant and the acclaim it is receiving, it is probably safe to say that she has taken that advice very much to heart across a glittering, hugely successful, and multi-talented career.
