After School
Adam expected his daughter to be her usual bubbly self when he picked her up from school. Upon seeing her, he immediately noticed two things that were very wrong. The first thing that caught his attention was how miserable she looked as she walked towards the car.
Furthermore, she was not wearing the shirt she had worn when she left the house. Confused, he waited for her to get into the car before asking if everything was okay. His anger was beyond words when he heard her reply.
What Happened?
Upon asking what was wrong, Adam watched her sigh and hang her head. Almost in tears, she said, "They took my shirt.". This was too shocking for Adam to believe.
Was it possible that one of the teachers in her school could be responsible for something so inappropriate? He clutched the steering wheel tightly as he decided what to do next. A decision would have to be made the next day.
Extreme Anger
Anger and fury swept through Adam. What could have caused them to do this, and why? His daughter's day had been ruined, and she had been humiliated by the teacher.
He would hold them accountable for what they had done. No matter what it took, he would get to the bottom of this.
Tear-Stained Face
Among the many things that made Adam's blood race was when people made his daughter cry. The teacher had crossed a line regarding protecting his pride and joy.
It was clear to him that he had to take action when he saw his daughter's tear-stained face. There was no way he would let anyone get away with this.
Showing Up
The principal's office was where Adam would try to clear everything up once and for all. It was important to him that they understood who they were dealing with.
He had no time to avert a scene, even though his daughter begged him to. They had already shown what they were capable of by doing what they did to his daughter. Adam was going to make them pay.
Why It Happened
Immediately after leaving the house, Adam drove straight to the school to plot his next move. Their mistake was messing with his family, and they would regret it. Upon reaching the principal's office, he stormed in.
Not expecting to see Adam, the principal had his guard down. Trying to ask Adam what he was doing, the angry father cut him off. During the conversation that followed, Adam expressed his dissatisfaction over the previous day's incident.
Specific Teacher
There was a moment of silence in the room after the principal heard what Adam had to say. At that moment, he revealed something the concerned father couldn't believe.
How could the principal be so cruel? Was he not sympathetic to his daughter? Adam then turned his attention to the specific teacher who was responsible for what had happened to his daughter. They would never be the same after he left.
Justification
It was surprising to learn that the teacher had his explanation for what he had done. In an attempt to defend himself, he tried to justify his actions. Even though his daughter hadn't told him anything about this, it didn't matter.

Family Man
As a family man living in Ohio, Adam Parker led a happy life. During the week, he took care of his family, and on Saturdays, he watched football games with friends. There was nothing he didn't like about his life.
Every morning before dropping off his daughter at school, he had his loving wife make him coffee. There would be times when things would not go so well.
The Loving Daughter
Tristan, Adam's daughter, enjoyed her senior year at high school. She knew of no bullies, and she had many friends. However, she did not know what tragedy would befall them soon.
One day, out of the blue, Adam had to rush his wife to the hospital. Something was very wrong, and they had to get to the bottom of it.
Illness
Tristan's mom, Jenny, had fallen ill. She was admitted to the hospital and slowly deteriorated in her hospital bed. She never got better, and the doctors couldn't explain it.
Just a few months after she was admitted, she tragically passed away. It was a difficult thing to try and get over. It left Tristan heartbroken and vulnerable.
Kept Moving
Adam and Tristan had no choice but to keep moving through life. Their wounds would never properly heal, but things would get better. But a byproduct of the event meant that Adam was very protective of his daughter.
He was going to make sure that she was alright no matter what. But one day, she'd come home from school less than happy.
A Normal Day
It was a day like any other. Adam dropped Tristan off at school and went to work. He usually took his lunch break a bit later in the day so he could pick her up from school.
But today would be different. He took his break and headed for the school, but she wasn't where she normally was. Where could she have been?
Nowhere To Be Seen
Tristan normally waited for her dad right at the gates of the school, but this time, she wasn't anywhere to be seen. Adam waited, but he didn't have a lot of time.
Thankfully, right before he got too impatient, he saw his daughter walking towards the car. But something was different. He noticed that she wasn't laughing with her friends like she normally was.
Intuition
Adam had a father's intuition, and it told him that something was very wrong. Either she wasn't feeling well, or someone had upset her. As her father, he felt obligated to get to the bottom of it.
Her mother would have wanted him to look out for her in situations like this. But he had no idea that the day she had just gone through was one that no girl should have had to go through.
Two Things Wrong

Tears
There was one thing that got Adam's blood pumping above all else: it was people who made his daughter cry. He would do anything to protect his pride and joy, and this teacher had crossed a line.

Principal's Office
Adam was going to march down to the principal's office and see if he could clear things up once and for all. He wanted to make sure they understood who they were dealing with.
His daughter begged him not to make a scene, but it was too late for that. They had already shown what they were capable of. Adam was going to make them pay.
Driving There
Adam drove straight to the school, plotting his next move. They didn't know who they were dealing with and would regret ever messing with his family. He got to the principal's office and stormed in.

A Poor Excuse
The excuse was that Tristan's shirt wasn't appropriate and that she had to take it off. The teacher provided her with a plain T-shirt to wear instead. But was Tristan's shirt really that bad?
Adam didn't understand. He didn't notice anything strange about her shirt. She was just a young woman expressing her femininity. Then, they brought up the article of clothing in question.
Crop Top
That morning, when Tristan left for school, she was wearing a crop top - something the school didn't allow. Normally, students got away with it.
But one particular teacher was too conservative to let it go. Mr. Williams made sure that Tristan stopped wearing the top immediately, but did he do the right thing?
An Investigation
The school launched an investigation with the mounting pressure from not only Adam but many other parents who believed the school's dress codes were far too conservative for the modern age.
But what would happen to the teacher? The principal had to do something with everyone against them.
Doing Something
After an investigation, it was found that the teacher may not have intentionally been inappropriate with the minor; he still shouldn't have done something without consulting the principal.
The principal informed the public that Mrs. Williams was going to counseling and training to be better equipped to handle situations like this.
A Small Victory
It was a small victory, but it felt a little empty for Tristan and her father. At least the backlash meant that, for the first time, the school's dress code was brought into question.
It sparked a conversation about whether or not the school needed to update its dress code and make it more up-to-date on current styles. But the opinion was always split.
Drama
A lot of the members of the school board were too conservative to change any of the dress code rules without a fight. But the parents seemed to be in agreement. What happened to Tristan wasn't acceptable.
They fought hard, and that's where the drama started. Tristan was a martyr for the rest of the girls. Where she was treated badly, hopefully, they wouldn't be.
Changes
Finally, after months of back and forth, it seemed that the parents had actually done it. Even though the dress code wasn't relaxed by too much, it still allowed girls to wear skirts as long as they were knee-high. As for crop tops, it seemed that they would never budge on them.
But now that the rules of right and wrong were established properly, no girl would ever be in the position that Tristan was in.
