Mike and Sulley Make a Comeback in Monsters at Work trailerBy Jennifer
For a whole generation of kids, Monsters is something they cannot get over. Parents have no doubt seen the plot of everything to do with Monsters about eight billion times. You no doubt know every word, every phrase, and every scene. If you love Monsters, you’ll be happy to know we have another movie coming up. If you hate Monsters…. well, we have another movie coming up.
We’ve also got a trailer to watch now of the latest movie, Monsters at Work. The movie shows the two protagonists, Sulley and Mike, taking part in their jobs. Billy Crystal and John Goodman return to lend their tones to the characters. The plot takes place after the first movie, when the Monsters soon realise they can harness even more energy for their city simply by harvesting the laughter of kids. Oh boy, if that were real, we’d have limitless energy just by putting on repeats of Monsters!
Indeed, the show, which is going to be set on Disney+, is described in the synopsis as:
“Monsters At Work” takes place the day after the Monsters, Incorporated power plant started harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley’s discovery that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams. It follows the story of Tylor Tuskmon, an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer until he lands a job at Monsters, Incorporated, and discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in. After Tylor is temporarily reassigned to the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team(MIFT), he must work alongside a misfit bunch of mechanics while setting his sights on becoming a Jokester.”
So, it sounds like a pretty intriguing take on the Monsters formula. If you want to see the trailer, check it out and see Sulley and Mike put their heads together to come up with a whacky formula that could change the entire town.
