Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have called it quits. The couple, who had been dating for nine months, broke up earlier this week. “Kim and Pete have decided to just be friends,” a source close to Kardashian shares.
“They have a lot of love and respect for each other, but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.”
Another source also tells us that the duo’s age difference contributed to the decision.
“Pete is 28 and Kim is 41 — they are just in very different places at the moment,” the insider says. “Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment’s notice,” the source adds. “But Kim has four kids and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids.”
The “Saturday Night Live” alum, 28, has been spending much of his time working on a movie in Australia, while the 41-year-old mom of four has been juggling her businesses and co-parenting with ex-husband Kanye West in Los Angeles. And while the duo reportedly began dating in late 2021, they have known each other for years.
They shared a "stage kiss" when Kardashian hosted "Saturday Night Live" in October 2021 and the two appeared together in a parody of Disney's "Aladdin." Davidson later got a "Jasmine and Aladdin" tattoo commemorating their first kiss, one of a few he got as a tribute to Kardashian. Additionally, Davidson admitted to getting Kardashian's name branded, not inked, on his chest because, according to Kardashian, he didn't want "to be able to get rid of it or to cover it up."
Davidson — who was previously engaged to Ariana Grande — recently opened up about his “dream” to become a dad one day.
“[I’m] definitely a family guy. My favorite thing ever, which I’ve yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid,” he said on Peacock’s “Hart to Heart” last month.
