I can’t believe that it’s 2020 and I’m still seeing news about Jack Black, nevermind bringing you the news. Jack Black was, for a while, a fairly relevant somewhat-funnyman who has mostly involved in alternative rock-based comedy. For a while, he was pretty big actually. However, it has felt like a long time since he was a genuine name in the media. Well, the following might explain why.
No doubt you’ve come across the song “WAP” by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, right? Well this song, with its rather provocative video, managed to produce a pretty large dance challenge online (I am sure you are aware, to be honest) that many people decided to take on themselves. Black decided to release his own version of it, complete in carrying it out in just his speedos.
Yeah.
The challenge first became massive over the summer when the song first came out. Users on TikTok would carry out the dance challenge themselves, and then challenge someone else to take on the moves themselves. The “comedian” posted his own take on the dance with the caption “CHALLENGE ACCEPTED” and if you wish to look at your screen quizzically for a moment, check out the video below.
Once upon a time, Jack Black was pretty big for things like Tenacious D and other forms of alternative humor. As you can see by the posts on his post, though, he’s got a cadre of still-relevant celebrity friends who found it pretty damn funny.
Wonder what those who used to see him taking part in things like the aforementioned Tenacious D think about him these days, though. If we’re being honest, it’s been a good while since anyone else pulled a WAP video out. It was something that was pretty massive months ago…not so much now.
To be fair to the guy, he does plenty of good stuff with his time for those who need a bit of help in life. His YouTube channel, in particular, has managed to raise a fair amount of money in the past for good causes. Just not sure we need to see him doing the WAP dance in his pants, y’know?
