His dog Crosby wouldn’t stop staring at the wall, and George knew something was wrong. He had never seen his dog behave so strangely. What was his dog seeing that he couldn’t?

Who Is George Miller?
At 29 years old, George was living far away from his family pursuing a challenging career. He loved discovering his new neighborhood but eventually, his house started to feel lonely. Even though he was constantly making plans with friends, coming home to an empty house was starting to bother George.
He decided to adopt a beautiful and friendly dog named Crosby. Instantly George’s world became brighter and full of so much love. It wouldn’t be long until George found out how far Crosby was willing to go to protect his owner.
Man’s Best Friend
With Crosby George’s life got better. He loved waking up and going for walks with his best four-legged friend. Even if he was just at home watching t.v, Crosby was on the couch with him and slowly George became less homesick.
With a new purpose, George began exploring more of his neighborhood. Everywhere he went with Crosby people wanted to stop and say hello. Crosby was very friendly but still protective of his owner. George would have no idea how protective until Crosby warned him of a hidden enemy inside their home!

At first, George didn’t notice Crosby’s personality changing, until one day when he came home from work and Crosby was nowhere to be found. George loved how his furry friend would always greet him at the door with his tail wagging!
At first, George panicked! Where was Crosby? He called his boy’s name and finally heard him running towards him in the house. A very relieved George gave extra affection for his furry friend’s welcoming barks! Where had Crosby been hiding?

George decided to turn on the lights and get a glass of water. He stood next to Crosby and tried to understand what the dog saw that he didn’t. Crosby made quiet crying noises and looked up at George.

George knew he couldn’t help his best friend without more information. He decided to install an old web camera and start watching the spot in the house that Crosby was spending so much time in. Would this footage reveal a solution, or just cause more problems?
The equipment was older but George knew he only needed one image to let him know what was going on. He installed the camera before work and all day thought about what was happening at home. He couldn’t believe how distracted he was thinking about Crosby. He never suspected the results he saw after the first day of filming.

Crosby was giving George many signals to tell him to keep looking. The dog was barking and began running in a circle. This was the spot! George began to stare closely at the space and then all of a sudden noticed something he had missed.
He noticed a very small hole. It almost looked like a crack but George could put his eye against it and realized this was definitely a hole. He would need to make it bigger but did he risk causing damage he might not be able to fix?
A Noise To Change His Mind
George was staring at this tiny hole when he realized he could hear something. It was a quiet noise but it was definitely coming from the inside of the wall. He couldn’t believe what his faithful best friend had been trying to tell him.
It was time to take the next step. George was about to open up the wall but what would he find inside? Was this a job he could do alone or was it time to call for help? He only had a few tools lying around his house, but he knew he better start now!
A Damaging Lesson
George found a hammer and began to make the tiny hole a little bigger. He knew he needed to be able to shine a light and at least get his hand in. Crosby was by his side, anxiously barking and giving him encouragement.
George knew it was the right choice but he didn’t want to cause too much drama. He had no idea that time was running out and he needed to get into the wall as soon as possible. What was waiting for George to rescue on the other side?
What Was Searching For?
George began to knock the wall out and finally had a hole big enough his hand could fit in. He tried to shine a light but it was still so dark. He decided to stretch his hand in and feel around. Since he had no idea what was inside he put on a pair of thick gloves.
Crosby sat next to George watching silently. Up until this point, Crosby had been helping George make decisions. He wished Crosby could let him know if his hand was in danger, but then something even better happened. It was a small noise George would never forget.
How Much Space Would He Need?
George decided to stop worrying about damage and made the hole big enough that both arms could go through. He knew now how urgent the situation was and began to sweat hoping he wasn’t too late.
Finally, George got his hands on the small furry object. He was being gentle and again heard the very quiet, meow, through the wall. He carefully tried to hold the soft material while he pulled it out of the wall. It was the moment of truth and the answer to days of confusion.
A Tiny Life Saved
In George’s hands was the tiniest kitten he had ever seen. It was clearly hungry and injured and George didn’t know how it had even survived. He looked down in shock at Crosby and then knew he had to get to a vet now!
Would the boys be too late to save their new furry friend? Crosby was so excited and running around the kitchen barking and wagging his tail, but there was a bigger problem. With one question answered, George, realized he had several more.
A Visit To The Vet
Bright and early George got up and took the tiny kitten to the nearby vet. Everyone there knew Crosby but they were surprised that George had a different friend with him. As he began to tell them the story, they couldn’t believe what they were hearing!
No one in the neighborhood had reported their kitten missing to the vet, but there was an even bigger surprise. The kitten was in perfect health. It needed to be on a nutrition plan but otherwise, it had no injuries. Was this a miracle new third furry family member for George & Crosby’s happy home?
The Overnight Transformation
Overnight Crosby had gone back to the dog he was before he lost his best friends. He had more energy and his tail was wagging constantly. George had missed seeing his dog so happy and decided he was going to keep the kitten.
