40 A-Listers Who Welcomed Their Babies Into The World Last Year

With everything that has happened these past two years, we have dealt with uncertainties and worries regarding our future. However, as the saying goes, "the show must go on," and so is life. We should accept the fact some things are way beyond our control. The news of these celebrity pregnancies is a timely reminder that there is more to life ahead of us.

A few celebrities have been blessed with babies and become mothers this year. Now, they may look forward to something much more meaningful. Having kids can be anxiety-inducing, but it’s an exciting time too. Let’s celebrate new life and check in with our favorite entertainment personalities.

Ashley Graham and Justin Ervin

Married to actor Justin Ervin, Ashley Graham is best known for being an advocate of body positivity. The couple tied the knot in 2010 and soon after had their son Isaac who's turning two. This time around, she's 34 and expecting a second child—and three, if you count twins.

Being the top model that she is, photoshoots became her thing. She hired a professional photographer to document her pregnancy journey. However, people find the ultrasound photos she posted on her Instagram actually quite heartfelt and genuine. There is no doubt in our minds that their children will be as gorgeous on the inside and out as the couple.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez

He plays as a forward for his team, Manchester United—that’s right, Cristiano Ronaldo. He still seems to be one of the most famous soccer players in the world. Besides his skills, his good looks caught the media's attention, and as a result, many became curious about his love life. His current girlfriend, Georgina Rodríguez, is indeed one lucky girl.

But before Georgina, the Portuguese soccer player had his first son with Irina Shayk, a model, and had twins through a surrogate mother. Then, he had his fourth child with his current girlfriend. This year, Cristiano and Georgina excitedly shared the news through social media that they are expecting their second baby.

Danielle Fishel and Jensen Karp

Danielle Fishel, an American actress, rose to stardom as a child star in the early 1990s when she featured in the series Boy Meets World. The then-child star is now 40 years old and happily married to her second husband, film producer Jensen Karp. In May 2021, the couple went on to Instagram to announce another baby boy as their third child.

Fishel couldn't contain her excitement as she was expecting her baby. "F O R T Y!" she wrote on Instagram. She revealed how thrilled she was looking forward to the next decade of her life. Pregnancy in your forties isn't easy, but having a great support system makes it much more manageable.

Elle King and Dan Tooker

Following in her mother's footsteps is an American singer-songwriter, Elle King, who is now 32 years old. Unfortunately, the singer's first marriage ended in divorce after only a year. Although she's now happy with her tattoo artist boyfriend, Dan Tooker, the couple isn’t planning on getting married anytime soon.

In March 2021, King happily took to social media to announce that they were having their first child. It was a bittersweet moment for the couple as King shared how she suffered two miscarriages before this. But thankfully, she was able to give birth to a healthy baby boy last September 2021.

Christina Ricci and Mark Hampton

2021 was a busy one for actress Christina Ricci. The Addams Family star recently uploaded a photo of an ultrasound scan on social media, sharing that they are expecting a baby. "Life keeps getting better," she captioned. Just two months later, she posted another photo showing them tying the knot in October 2021.

The photo from their wedding above was a shot she excitedly shared through her social media accounts. It was in 2020 when she met Mark Hampton, who works as a hairdresser. Shortly after announcing her pregnancy, it seems like the couple wanted to ensure everything was already set when their baby came out.

Emma Stone and Dave McCary

At 30, Emma stone had her first child with Dave McCary, the writer, and director of Saturday Night Live, last year. After being engaged for almost two years, the Academy Award winner and her fiancé excitedly shared the news with the public.

Despite all that, the couple is still waiting for the right time to get married and wants to focus on their baby. Based on her past interviews, it seems that Emma wasn't planning on having children. But turning 30 may have made her feel otherwise.

Darren Criss and Mia Criss

Glee star Darren Criss and his wife, Mia Criss, tied the knot back in 2019. They were together for almost ten years before they decided to get married. Now, after enjoying the life of a married couple, they recently announced through an Instagram post that they were expecting their first child.

It seems talent will run in the family as Mia Criss does almost everything—from being a producer, director, musician, and even a business owner of a piano bar. During their musical collaboration, they met each other, and now, they have a baby to show as their ultimate collaboration.

Lauren Lapkus and Mike Castle

After ending her two-year marriage to Chris Alvarado in 2016, the American actress and comedian Lauren Lapkus is now happily married to Mike Castle. The couple took to social media the news that they were expecting their "rainbow baby," who happens to be a baby girl.

Rainbow babies are those born after a miscarriage or the death of a newborn. She shared on Instagram how she felt in a state of euphoria while expecting their baby girl. With a height of 1.78 meters, many people are excited to see whether or not their baby will grow up at the same height or taller, even.

Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons

After playing husband and wife for the TV show Fargo, actors Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons started seeing each other in 2016. Apart from being engaged for two years, the couple already had their first child, Ennis Howard Plemons, in 2018, before their marriage.

Last year, the actress also revealed that she gave birth to their second son, James Robert Plemons, in May. It was reported that Kirsten was struggling with depression back in 2008. But seeing these photos, it seems as if she was able to fight off her illness and was looking much better.

Princess Beatrice of York and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Apart from being fifth in line for the throne, Princess Beatrice of York is also the tenth heir to the crown. Born in the royal family, she is Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter and a cousin to Prince Harry and Prince William. Despite the social gathering restrictions, Princess Beatrice tied the knot in 2020 with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, a property developer.

The couple had a fancy yet intimate wedding with their closest families. A year later, with her baby bump showing, Buckingham Palace reported her pregnancy in May. The royal baby girl, Sienna Elizabeth, came to the world in September 2021.

Stephanie Beatriz and Brad Hoss

Best known for her role as detective Rosa Diaz, Stephanie Beatriz is one of the hit sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars. In 2016, she came out to the world, identified herself as bisexual, and announced her engagement to Hoss a year later. The good news of the couple's first child was announced on Instagram in 2021.

When the news of her pregnancy came out, the actress revealed how it was almost impossible for her to see herself settling down during an interview. But look at her now. At the age of 40, Stephanie gave birth to a baby girl in August 2021.

Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne

Rowdy, the fan-favorite ring moniker for American wrestler Ronda Rousey, has also had a hectic schedule this year. However, despite her retirement following WrestleMania, she is still widely regarded as an iconic figure in the wrestling industry. She made the news in 2015 when it was revealed that she was dating Travis Browne, whom she had met in 2013.

Their relationship wasn't off to a good start, but soon enough, they tied the knot in 2017. The couple shared the pregnancy announcement by uploading a video on the wrestler's official YouTube channel. In September of that year, she gave birth to a daughter named La'akea Makalapuaokalanip Browne.

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost

It was in 2017 when Academy Award-winning actress Johansson dated the comedian and writer of SNL, Colin Jost. Shortly after, the couple then decided to get married in 2020. Previously married to her co-actor Ryan Reynolds and Romain Dauriac, who is a French businessman, this marriage with Jost is her third.

Johansson is already a mother of two from her past marriage. The couple's first child together was revealed in August 2021 when Colin Jost happily broke the news while on set. Johansson gave birth to their baby, Cosmo, only a few days after the statement was made public.

Olivia Munn and John Mulaney

NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a three-year relationship with actress Olivia Munn who starred in films such as Iron Man 2 and The Predator. Prior to her relationship with stand-up comedian John Mulaney in early 2021, her love life had been mostly out of the public eye.

The news about their first baby was revealed in an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Mulaney also opened up about how he had a roller coaster kind of life. He shared how he underwent treatment for addiction, moved out of his ex-girlfriend's house, met Olivia, and is now expecting a child all at the same time. Lucky him.

Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney

Joining the entertainment industry as a child actress, Jennifer Lawrence's career has come far, to say the least. She gained worldwide recognition from the 2012 movie, The Hunger Games, in which she played the iconic Katniss Everdeen. Fast forward to 2021, she is now one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood.

In the middle of it all, she started going out with her now-husband, Cooke Maroney, who worked as an art gallery director in 2018. Just like the other actresses previously mentioned, she also wasn't planning on having kids. However, it was revealed that the couple was expecting their first child in September 2021.

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott

Having been raised in a family of stars, Kylie Jenner still had to work her way up somewhat to get to where she is. She proved that age doesn't matter when it comes to success. Despite being the youngest, she made sure she wasn't left behind as an established public figure, model, and entrepreneur. Her relationship with American rapper Travis Scott has recently been the subject of much media attention.

On Instagram, Jenner has been posting many pictures of her daughter, Stormi Webster, since she was born in 2018. But then, in September 2021, she announced that she and her ex-husband were expecting their second child together, following a brief breakup in 2019.

Halsey and Alev Aydin

The American singer-songwriter Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, best known as Halsey, rose to fame when her self-produced music started gaining listeners through her social media accounts. Her songs became a huge hit and instantly sold a million, starting with her first album in 2014.

In 2020, she was seen having casual dates with screenwriter Alev Aydin. Only a year after, Halsey surprised her fans when she posted a photo of a baby bump on Instagram and even tagged Aydin over her belly. It was known to the public how she had previously had a miscarriage. Still, thankfully, she was able to give birth to a healthy baby boy in July.

Gal Gadot and Yaron Varsano

Actress Gal Gadot made her Hollywood debut in the 2009 film Fast and Furious. Still, her role as Wonder Woman elevated her to superstardom. From then on, she appeared in various films, such as the Netflix original film Red Notice where she recently starred along with Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds. However, it was in 2006, before her superstardom, when she met her husband at a desert festival. The couple then got married two years later.

In 2017, two years after the birth of their first daughter, Alma, the couple welcomed Maya into the world. With the caption "here we go again," the Wonder Woman actress shared a sweet family photo from March last year. They expect Daniella, their third child, to be born in June 2021.

Ellie Goulding and Caspar Jopling

A mutual friend connected Ellie Goulding and her now-husband, Caspar Jopling, who works as an art dealer. The couple started dating in 2016 and have been together ever since. Two years later, the couple got engaged and immediately tied the knot at the Cathedral of York the following year.

The 34-year-old singer announced in February 2021 that she and her husband are expecting their first child. In April 2021, their first son, Arthur, came into the world. When she announced the birth of her first child, the singer said, "That was not the plan. In my mind, the idea of becoming pregnant seemed far-fetched."

Ashley Tisdale and Christopher French

Best known for the iconic character Sharpay in the hit Disney movie High School Musical, Ashley Tisdale has had a wild ride. In September 2014, Tisdale and her now-husband, Christopher French, tied the knot in a private celebration with only their closest family and friends in Santa Barbara, California.

Tisdale made the initial public announcement of her pregnancy via social media in September of 2020, posting a picture of herself showing off her growing baby bump while wearing a flowy white dress. Inspired by the planets in our solar system, they decided to call their first child Jupiter Iris French.

Emily Ratajkowski and Sebastian Bear-McClard

Emily Ratajkowski built her career with the help of social media. In 2013, she first earned recognition when she was featured in Robert Thicke's controversial single, "Blurred Lines." She has since written a new book, My Body, which elaborates on her experiences.

Ratajkowski and her husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, had reportedly dated only a few weeks before they decided to get married in 2018. Their fast-paced relationship certainly got the rumor mill spinning. Just last March, the couple welcomed their son into the world.

Adriana Lima and Andre Lemmers

Following a pregnancy announcement, supermodels constantly have to field questions about how they will continue their careers while pregnant. But fortunately for supermodel Adriana Lima, this is not her first experience with giving birth to a child. She’s done all this before, and she’ll handle it just as easily again.

Adrina Lima actually has two daughters with her ex-husband, Marko Jaric. Now, she is expecting her first baby with her current boyfriend, Andre Lemmers. It's a beautiful way to usher in the new year, and she's looking forward to it.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner

When one of Hollywood's most popular young couples announces they are expecting their second child, it's hard to contain your excitement. Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas tied the knot in 2019 and welcomed their first child, Willa, the following year. With their first already growing up, it's high time for them to try for a second one.

And as if the planets aligned, Sophie was spotted with a baby bump while strolling the streets of Hollywood! 2022 appears to be a good year for the couple to begin planning on growing their family further. Our best wishes are with them!

Christine Quinn and Christian Richard

Christine Quinn, a real estate agent for the Oppenheim Group, is a familiar face on Selling Sunset, a reality show about luxury real estate. In recent months, Quinn and her husband, Christian Richard, welcomed their first child, Christian Georges Dumontet, into the world.

No one has an easy time when they become new parents, but we can only imagine that being a reality TV star makes things even harder. Although Quinn had an emergency C-section, she seems to be caring for her son like a pro.

Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews

Getting all the attention, especially from women, is easy when you're a sought-after NFL player. However, Patrick Mahomes, quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, is taken. Brittany Matthews and her husband have been together since high school. Since then, the two have been inseparable.

Ever since they got engaged in 2020, the couple has been getting busy starting their own little family. Just a year after their first child, Sterling, was born, they are getting ready to raise their second. We're glad to see the happy couple, and we're very excited to see all those adorable family photos.

Jordan Fisher and Ellie Woods

It's kind of weird to see people you eternally associate with being teens now starting to get married, have children and create their own families. Jordan Fisher, star of The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and his wife, Ellie Woods, have recently welcomed their first child into the world.

As it turns out, the couple has been best friends since they were 13. Talk about childhood sweethearts! After knowing each other for quite a long time, the two only dated for two months and eventually married. Now, they are happily starting their own little family.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez

Losing a child is the worst thing any parent could ever experience. This year, Georgina Rodriguez gave birth to twins, a boy, and a girl. Unfortunately, the baby boy wasn't that healthy, and they had to say goodbye to him shortly after seeing the world. Despite the devastation they felt with the loss of their son, they also had to celebrate the life of the other twin who survived.

This is such an important time for them to strengthen their bond as a family. Bella Esmerelda, the name given to the couple's newborn daughter, is a lovely one, in our opinion. The couple, despite their hardships, nevertheless has plenty to be thankful for.

Nick Cannon and Abby De La Rosa

Is it possible for one man to have seven children with five different women? Well, American TV host, Nick Cannon proves that it’s possible. The fact that Nick Cannon is the father of seven children with seven different women may be difficult to grasp, but nevertheless, it’s true.

Regardless, this picture of his ex-girlfriend, Abby De La Rosa, together with their twins, is very cute. The family decided to dress up as Ghostbusters for Halloween, and we seriously can't get enough of it. After all these years, it appears they had a great time together.

Elon Musk and Grimes

One of the world's wealthiest men, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and space musician Grimes dated for some time. During the 2021 Met Gala, they made their first public appearance together as a couple after beginning their relationship in 2018. In December 2021, baby X Æ A-12 was welcomed to the world.

Just like everyone else, we're also curious as to how they came up with the name and its pronunciation. Unfortunately, despite having a baby, the couple broke up not long after. Musk also put a pair of twins in the executive of his brain-hacking company, Neurolink, and has since welcomed them into the world, presumably in person.

Quentin Tarantino and Daniella Pick

Quentin Tarantino is one of the most well-known and critically-acclaimed directors in Hollywood. Tarantino is renowned for his controversial, bizarre, and occasionally grotesque flicks, for which he has won eight Academy Awards to date and still counting.

Daniella Pick, an Israeli woman, married the director in a private event in Los Angeles in 2018. In 2022, the pair revealed that they are expecting their second baby following the birth of their first in 2020. We wonder if this kid will take after their parents.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky

Everyone thought Rihanna was pregnant in December 2021, but the reports were quickly proven false. Naturally, fans were disappointed, but the disappointment lasted just a short time. In January 2022, the singer and fashion designer announced that she and A$AP Rocky were having their first child.

A social media post or even a simple phone call to closest friends and family is usually how most women announce their pregnancy. But Rihanna isn't "most people." In a pregnancy photoshoot in New York City, she and A$AP Rocky shared the news with a glamorous display of jewelry and style.

Amber Heard

The domestic abuse trial involving Amber Heard and her ex-husband, actor Johnny Depp, has recently drawn much attention. Despite her initial hesitation to publicize the news, the actress gave birth to a healthy baby girl in April 2021. Looking after a child with all that press attention couldn’t have been easy.

If you're wondering about the father, then surprise, surprise! It's neither Johnny Depp nor Elon Musk who has recently been linked with Heard. She could not carry her own child, so she hired a surrogate to give birth to her baby. The actress's daughter Oonagh Paige Heard, born last month, was named after her late mother.

Shay Mitchell and Matte Babel

Shay Mitchell is a high school student no more. She played with fire in Pretty Little Liars, but now she is in a new role as a mother. The couple welcomed their first child, Atlas, in 2019 and have just revealed that they are expecting their second.

However, Shay Mitchell's pregnancy hasn't been easy because it coincided with her grandmother's death. She took to social media, explaining that saying goodbye to a loved one and welcoming a new one into the world felt like such an emotional rollercoaster experience.

Trisha Paytas and Moses Harmon

As a non-binary podcast host and social media influencer, Trisha Paytas has found themself living the life of a creator on social media. Trisha is known for her controversial views, yet fans and non-fans alike welcomed their most recent news.

Looking through Trisha Paytas' channel, it's no secret that they and Moses Hacmon have struggled to conceive. It was only in February of 2022 that the American YouTuber announced her pregnancy, which had been delayed because the pair had been struggling with infertility.

Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma

Hilary Duff and her show Lizzie McGuire may be familiar to everyone who grew up with Disney. The show played a significant role in the childhood of a great number of adolescents today, both girls and boys.

Duff struggled for years to be seen as anything but a Disney Channel girl. Duff married Matthew Koma, a singer-songwriter, in 2017, and they have now had two children. They welcomed the new addition to their family last March 2021.

Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara

You know she's all about the bass with no treble if you've seen her. "Lips Are Movin" and "No," are two of Meghan Trainor's recent top-charting singles. They made her one of the most famous pop singers in recent years and allowed her to produce more hit songs that are widely used in social media apps, such as the song "Title."

Daryl Sabara, the man she married on her 25th birthday in 2018, is an American singer-songwriter. The two announced their pregnancy in 2020 on The Kelly Clarkson Show, following the birth of their first in February 2021.

Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell, a 90s supermodel, is one of the most well-known models in history. In the 1990s, Naomi Campbell was one of the "Big Six" supermodels who dominated the fashion world. She has appeared in numerous campaigns for some of the world's most well-known and well-respected fashion houses.

Her first child, a baby girl, was born to Campbell in May at the age of 50. While the name of the baby's father is not disclosed to the general public, we couldn't be happier for Miss Campbell because this was her long-standing desire.

Pippa Middleton and James Matthews

The Duchess of Cambridge's younger sister, Pippa Middleton, is a well-known British socialite. The controversy surrounding her appearance at her sister's royal wedding is still fresh in our minds when she arrived in an almost translucent gown and nearly stole the spotlight. Such a royal mishap is impossible to forget.

In 2017, Pippa married James Matthews, who used to be a race car driver. This time, her older sister was her maid of honor. In 2021, it was revealed that the 38-year-old socialite was pregnant with a second. Their first child, named Arthur Michael William, was born in 2015 and is now a brother to Grace Elizabeth Jane, born in March.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

A lot has gone on for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex over the last few years. The Oprah interview broadcast in March 2021, in which the royal couple spoke up about their life in the public eye, joining the royal family, and leaving the royal family, was just the start of it.

Thankfully, they could share some positive news with us this year. In a People Magazine spread, Prince William and Kate Middleton announced they were expecting their second child. In a shot from the couple's pregnancy photoshoot, uploaded on their Instagram page, Meghan is carrying their two-year-old son Archie and her growing baby bump.

Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins

Thomas Rhett, the son of country music icon Rhett Akins, tied the knot with Lauren Akins in 2012. After completing their adoption of a little girl from Uganda earlier in 2015, Lauren gave birth to the couple's first biological daughter later that same year.

They brought their third daughter into the world in February 2020, and in May of the same year, the singer announced that they were expecting their fourth child, a baby girl! Lauren gave birth in November 2021. As of writing, the couple has four children and counting.
